Young Voices Project

Are you a youth or young adult (age 14-29)?

Do you love to write or create?

We want to hear your thoughts on discipleship and faith and we want to share your wisdom with the Southern New England Conference. Reflect on a recent experience and how it relates to your faith and send us a draft. You can respond to a current event or comment on a poignant experience and relate it to a passage of scripture. Published items will receive a stipend of $50.

  • Your piece can be a Blog post, poem, or original music or even visual art. If you send poetry, music, or art, include a paragraph that describes the inspiration for the piece.
  • Format: 400 to 500 words of personal writing that reflects on faith.
  • Possible Themes:
    • Discipleship Prompts
      ▪ What does it mean to follow Jesus in 2021?
      ▪ Listening for God and Discerning a call
      ▪ Do not conform to this world…
      ▪ What does the Lord require of you?
    • Encounter Prompts- write about an experience of meeting God. It could be through service, in creation, in worship, or in relationship.
