Pilgrim District Women
Pilgrim District Women
Who can be a part of Pilgrim District Women?
If you are woman living in the area of the Pilgrim Association of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ, and if you attend one of our churches in the area, you are one of us.
What is our purpose?
Our bylaws state - "the purpose of the Pilgrim District Women is to help the women of the Pilgrim District better understand and participate in the life and work of the whole church through fellowship, worship, study, and action." We try to fulfill these goals during three meetings each year. Our programs vary from spiritual matters to social concerns to mission outreach to forming good friendships. We encourage you to join us.
What happens at the meetings?
At 9:30 AM, we begin our meetings with registration and coffee.
At 10:00 AM, we are welcomed by the host church and hear a brief history of that church. We then have a worship service together; brief business items are discussed; followed by the program of the day.
Lunch cost $5.0 per person and is provided by the hosting church.
By 1 PM, we are through for our ladies to get on with other business or with family matters.
Good fellowship and sharing is enjoyed by all.
