The Rev. Mr. Carl F. Reynolds died on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer.  Carl is survived by his wife, Debra (Osborn); sister, Rev. Cynthia F. Reynolds; daughters by first marriage, Marinda Reynolds, Julia McAleer (Frank), and Katrina Casey (Tim); grandchildren, Amelia and Meadow McAleer; Debra’s 6 children and 13 grandchildren; and his beloved cats.

Carl was born to Charles Freeman Reynolds and Gwendolyne (Tillmanns) Reynolds and grew up in Farmington, CT, graduating from Farmington High School in 1969. As a young man, Carl became a devoted alumni of Silver Lake Conference Center in Sharon, CT, a community that inspired him to pursue a Bachelors in Fine Art Photography from Goddard College and Masters of Divinity from Bangor Theological Seminary. He was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 1977 and shared his calling with all he met. Carl was honored to serve as the Director of Outdoor and Retreat Ministry for the Vermont Conference UCC; Pastor of Tri-Valley Parish in Pittsfield, VT; Director at Dunkirk Conference Center in New York; Pastor of Canterbury United Community Church in New Hampshire; Pastor of First Congregational Church of East Windsor; Minister of Volunteers for Greater Hartford Habitat for Humanity; and was most recently the Pastor of Second Congregational Church of West Stafford.

He will be remembered with love and admiration as a minister, carpenter, teacher, fireman, philosopher, writer and artist. His art will live on in the hands of those he blessed with it. His publications include a collection of poetry, Living Somewhere Between the River and the Road and a collection of sermons, Reflections on the Past and the Future.

A memorial service for close friends and family will be held at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.
