The Rev. Dr. Otis A. Maxfield died with his family, at his home in Gotham, Maine on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
Dr. Maxfield married E. Virginia Maxfield in 1947 and together they had five children, Janet Duncan, Susan Garrett, Lois Jones, Andy Maxfield and Tim Maxfield, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Otis earned a Masters of Divinity and a PhD in Pastoral Psychology from Boston University. He served many churches including his first in Wilmington, MA, West Parish Church in Andover, MA, Old First Church in Springfield, MA, First Community Church in Columbus, OH, and Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, CT.
