Rev. Donald S. Mathison died on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Rev. Mathison was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Campbell Mathison. Those left behind to cherish Rev. Mathison's memory are two children, Holly Mathison of NY and Doug Mathison (Debbie) of Old Fort, NC and four grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, Kaitlin and Brian Mathison.  He lived most recently in Old Fort, NC.  

Rev. Mathison was born in Springfield, MA to the late Raymond Lauderdale Mathison and Ethel Elizabeth Monell Mathison. He devoted almost 55 years of his life to ministry with United Church of Christ.  He earned two Master Degrees; one in Education and the other in Divinity.  He also taught for 35 years at the Northampton School District in Hampshire County, MA. He was the town Treasurer for Sunderland, MA for 15 years.  In his spare time, Rev. Mathison enjoyed gardening and researching geneology.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
