Mr. Rufus Packard Cushman III, of Proctor, VT, died on Labor Day, Sept. 4, 2017, at home, from heart and kidney failure.

After "retiring" from a career in insurance and banking, Mr. Cushman spent much of the 1990s working part-time as the Massachusetts Conference’s Director of Planned Giving. He followed that by serving the Conference for another 10 years as a Stewardship Associate, and was a founding member of the Northeast Ecumenical Stewardship Council. 

A Memorial Service was held at the Union Church of Proctor, 5 Church Street, Proctor, VT at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 1st.
