The Rev. Donald F. Jennings of Plymouth, MA passed away on May 30, 2021. Don is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years Bertha (Bertie) Dorr Jennings; his son, Brent Jennings and wife Mary of East Lyme, CT and grandchildren Caeleigh and Dillon; and his daughter, Angela Sinnott and husband Tom of Duxbury, MA and grandchildren Jackson and Madelyn. Don was predeceased by an infant daughter, Deanne Marie, his brother Louis Jennings, Jr. and sister Rita DeBeck.

Don graduated from The University of Maine in Orono and then Bangor Theological Seminary with his Masters in Divinity beginning his lifelong dedication to the church. In 1994, Don earned his Doctor of Ministry from Bangor Theological Seminary.  Don and Bertie served churches in Falmouth and Foreside, ME; Rehoboth, MA; and Concord and Portsmouth, NH.

They made many dear friends at each stop along the way. Upon retirement they moved to Plymouth to be closer to family. Many organizations benefitted from Dons dedicated volunteerism. He especially enjoyed his work with Seafarer's Friend visiting ships and crew in Portsmouth and Portland harbors. In Plymouth, Don was a loyal volunteer and ambassador of Plimoth Plantation and the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra. Don also enjoyed music and sang in the Concord Chorale and the Plymouth Festival Chorus in addition to the church choir at Church of the Pilgrimage in Plymouth.

A Celebration of his Life took place at The Church of the Pilgrimage in Plymouth, MA on Saturday, June 5 at 2:00 PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers and to honor Don's memory, contributions may be made to any of the above-mentioned organizations or to Beacon Hospice in gratitude for their loving care.
