Paul Chaddock, a Commissioned Minister through the Essex Association, died on February 19 in Fountain Hills, AZ. He moved there about six years ago after many years as an active member of The Congregational Church of Topsfield. Paul worked extensively with churches throughout the Essex Association, as well as the Caleb Foundation in Swampscott and the Salem Mission. In the words of one MACUCC pastor, "A finer human being and Christian servant you could not find." An obituary from the Arizona Republic follows:

Paul Henry Chaddock , 72, passed away on February 19, 2009. He resided in Fountain Hills, AZ and is survived by his loving wife and partner of 53 years, Marilyn Irene Chaddock; his children, Deborah Lyn Chaddock Brown, Daniel Paul Chaddock & wife, Cynthia Chaddock; his grandchildren, Ben & Emily Brown, & Zachary Chaddock. His sister, Ruth Ebert and brother, Dr. Bruce Chaddock; Nephews, James Cron, Michael Cron, Alan Cron & wife, Ellen Cron; Neice, Laurie Nagy & husband, Terry Nagy. He was pre-deceased by his Mother, Amy Frisbie Chaddock & his father, Henry Eugene Chaddock.

He was a West Virginia Wesleyan graduate and embarked on an illustrious carreer beginning at Addressograh-Multigraph in Sales & Training development; followed by VP Personnel Training & Development at Dayton Hudson Corp.; Sr. VP Human Resources for Lechmere Corp.; Managing Partner of Lechmere in 1989 & retired in 1994.

After he retired, he served as partner in McMillan/Doolittle Retail Consulting Firm, and was on the Board of Directors of The Danvers Savings Bank. He was a devout Christian who gave a life of service to his church & community wherever he lived. Holding numerous positions in the Church as Deacon, Moderator & President of Session, plus singing in the Choir & teaching Adult Ed.

His greatest love & talent was music and was an accomplished pianist who brought joy to all who heard him perform. Since moving to Fountain Hills, he has enjoyed golf, cooking with the Men's Team at The Club, traveling, and was a wine enthusiast. He loved his family & was a wonderful role model.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary between 5-8 p.m. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Mountain View Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale. There will be a reception immediately following the service.
