The Rev. Mr. C. Paul Bush Jr., 89, died peacefully on July 02, 2013 at his home in Eastport, ME, surrounded by his family. 

After graduating from high school, Paul served in the U.S. Navy.  He then went to Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and Union Theological Seminary in New York City, earning his Master’s Degree in Divinity in 1950.  Paul was ordained by the United Church of Christ and served as Pastor for many UCC churches throughout the years, including many in Massachusetts:  Elm Street Congregational Church in Southbridge, MA, First Congregational Church in Billerica, MA, First Congregational Church in Rutland, MA, and Packachoag Community Church in Auburn, MA.  He also served as Chaplain at Rutland Heights Hospital in Rutland, MA.

A celebration of Paul’s life was held on July 7th in Eastport.  Burial followed in Hillside Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Blakey United Methodist Church (PO Box 104, Eastport, ME 04631), Eastport Senior Center (Boynton St., Eastport, ME 04631), or to a charity of one’s choice.
