Rev. Norman B. Crook died on Oct. 4, 2011, in Marlow, Ala., at the age of 81. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and then earned a Master's of Divinity degree from Hartford Seminary Foundation. He was ordained into the United Church of Christ, and while in the ministry worked with Bethany Homes. He traveled in an RV during retirement and worked at dog shows. He and his wife, Josette, raised four children.
