Our brother in Christ, Reverend Richard Anderson died on May 19th, in Ashevlle, North Carolina. Dick was a son of Hough's Neck Congregational Church, Quincy, ordained in the Pilgrim Association in 1978, serving churches in all three Associations of the Southeast Region of the Massachusetts Conference:
- Plympton Congregational Church 1975-1981, while he was in seminary at Andover Newton Theological School
- Swansea, First Christian Congregational Church, 1996-2002
- Interim at North Falmouth, Congregational Church, 2003-2005
- Churches in the Central Association of the Massachusetts Conference and churches in the Rhode Island Conference
We celebrate his life, gifts and ministry, thanking God for the deep and abiding blessings we have known through Dick's thirty years of ministry and sixty-seven years of life. His wife, Ruth, was his constant companion in life, parenting and ministry, as she also was nurtured and matured in her Christian life in Hough's Neck Congregational Church.
All are encouraged to gather with others in celebration of Dick Anderson's life and in thanksgiving to God for his ministry at the Pawtucket, Rhode Island Church, 40 Walcott Street on Saturday, June 21st @2:30 pm.
