MATTAPOISETT - Donald H. Finley, 92, of Mattapoisett, died January 6, 2010 peacefully at home. He was the husband of Hope B. (Farren) Bradley-Finley and the late Alma C. (Nessle) Finley.

Born in Kingston, NY, the son of the late Lester and Maude (Brown) Finley, he moved to Mattapoisett serving as pastor of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church from 1967 to 1982 and in retirement as pastor emeritus.

Finley was a spiritual leader, philosopher, lover of nature and poet.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Lynn T. Finley and his wife Joyce of North Providence, RI and Brian T. Finley and his wife Laura of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; a daughter, Marcia E. Bradley and her husband David of Mattapoisett, MA; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
