The Rev. August John Woerner (Gus) died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 88 years of age, with his family by his side. He was active until the last day of his life, spending time on his computer and enjoying the company of his family.

He went on to serve as Minister of Christian Education for churches in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
