The Rev. Dr. David Rees died on December 14, 2013 at the age of 72. The service for Dr. Rees was held on Saturday, February 1, 2014.  Dr. Rees started out his ministry in Wellesley, Massachusetts and then served churches in Berkeley, CA; Shaker Heights, OH; and south FL.  Two years after his retirement, he and his wife Helen moved back to California to be close to their children, settling in Walnut Creek, CA.  In addition to his wife Helen, Dr. Rees is survived by two children, Sarah Carroll and Rebecca Ashton; three grandchildren, Lola Ashton, Oliver Ashton, and Dylan Carroll; a brother, Thomas Rees; a sister, Linda Beam; and several nieces and nephews.
