Videos for Month of Prayer Posted

Rev. Goodwin has asked for special prayers for the month of January as we enter 2022. Those videos will be posted here throughout the month:
He also encourages prayer for first-responders, and healing in our world.

Week Four: Conference Staff

Rev. Darrell Goodwin, Executive Conference Minister:

Please Join me in prayer this week for our Conference Staff who make the reality of Living the Love and Justice of Jesus tangible and our conference colleagues throughout the UCC. Our staff has persevered to serve with their whole mind, body, and soul and we are ever grateful. Take a moment and add your prayers to mine, and go to our staff directory and pick a member of the team to send a blessing and/or a word of encouragement.

Week Three: National and Local Covenant Partners

Rev. Darrell Goodwin, Executive Conference Minister:

Please Join me in prayer this week for our National and Local Covenant Partners who make the reality of Living the Love and Justice of Jesus a reality. We also lift up our internal covenant partners and the ministry they offer which carries our mission beyond our regional context.

Week Two: All Authorized Ministers and MIDS in all settings of our conference

Rev. Dr. Chris Davies, Minister and Team Leader for the Faith Education, Innovation and Formation ministry team in the national setting of the United Church of Christ.

Rev. Darrell Goodwin, Executive Conference Minister:

Rev. Goodwin offers a word of prayer and encouragement for our authorized ministers and Members in Discernment. Hear his words and offer your own as we collectively spend this week in prayer. Our pastoral leaders have taken courage to be on the front lines, sharing the Good News in a dark time. They have offered hope in the unseen, love in a time of weeping and difficult decision making in ways that are often underappreciated. We offer thanksgiving, prayer, encouragement and a holy pause that they may feel our love and collective care.

Week One:  Lay members and leaders within the SNEUCC

Rev. Angela Menke Ballou, Conference President and Pastor of the Cotuit Federated Church:
"In the last two years, leadership in the church has required flexibility and so many decisions. We recognize the stress that this has placed on both church staff and lay leaders. The board and staff of the Southern New England Conference of the UCC is holding you in prayer at this time. Join us as we lift one another in prayer and experience together God's presence and Christ's peace.
