The Bridge Conference Ministers have announced that two more positions on the newly configured Conference staff, which goes into effect Jan. 1, have been filled, both by current staff with deep local church connections.

Emily McKenna, who has served as the Hartford office manager for the Conference since 2014, will continue on in the new Conference as the Program Support Associate for both the Discipleship Team and the Justice & Witness Team.

“This will be a headline-making conference based on the mission, and I am eager to help further that mission," McKenna said in her cover letter applying for the positions.

McKenna also works as the Youth Ministry Coordinator for Spring Glen Church in Hamden, CT, in partnership with several other churches and the Yale Divinity School.  (Read more here)

Karen Methot, who has served in program support for the historic Massachusetts Conference staff for the past 14 years, will serve as Program Support Associate for the Innovation Team, which will be focused on leadership development in the Conference.

“I love and believe in these foundational words: Inspired by God's grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all," Methot wrote in her cover letter.

Methot is an active leader of the Hadwen Park Congregational Church in Worcester, MA, and has served as chair of the LBGT Asylum Task Force there.
