If you are an experienced racial justice trainer or facilitator, or if you are interested in becoming one, join us on January 31-Feb. 2 for a Train-the-Trainer event. Participants will learn about the SNEUCC approach to these sessions and expectations of facilitators and will engage in specific content and resources that will help to prepare them to be facilitators.
People who complete the training may be asked to facilitate racial justice trainings on behalf of the Conference. Such trainings may be delivered online or in-person and may include clergy, lay members, or external partners. Specific assignments will be made in negotiation with facilitators and in consideration of their specific skills, interests, and availability.
Individuals who have significant experience facilitating such workshops and those who have previously participated in similar trainings may not need to attend the full three days. The experience and credentials of potential trainers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to make these determinations.
The training will be held in person at Edwards House in Framingham, MA. Meals will be provided on-site, and lodging will be offered at Edwards House or nearby for those who require lodging. Recognizing that some interested people might find travel to Framingham difficult, another train-the-trainer event is anticipated for either Rhode Island or Connecticut later in the year.
