The Bridge Conference Ministers have announced that six more current Conference staff members will continue on in the new structure in 2021.
Three Silver Lake Conference staff members will continue in their positions: Jennifer Kronholm Clark as Program Director, Ruth Choate as Administrator and Registrar and Lynn Boettger as Food Service Manager and Chef.
“Silver Lake has a wonderful year-round staff team committed to offering extravagant hospitality in intentional Christian community. It is with joy that Jenn, Lynn, and Ruth will be continuing in their roles as a part of this life changing ministry," said the Rev. Ryan Gackenheimer, Silver Lake Executive Director.
Other staff continuing:
Charlie Kuchenbrod will move into the role of Minister of Threshold and Legacy Churches. In this role, he will be responsible for aiding congregations in exploring their future viability, guiding them in implementing decisions to close and supporting congregations in recasting their mission to seed new ministries that may bring new life to people seeking new ways to be disciples of Jesus.
"It is in my nature to encourage people, especially, in this context, church leaders. The word encourage comes from the Old French word encoragier, meaning "make strong, hearten,” Kuchenbrod said in his cover letter applying for the position. Kuchenbrod had served for many years as the Executive Associate Conference Minister in the historic Connecticut Conference.
Lee Gagen will continue her work as the Donor Development Specialist.
"I would love the opportunity to build on the current work that I am doing by creating innovative new ways to find financial support for these beloved ministries," she wrote in her cover letter. Gagen was first hired by the historic Massachusetts Conference in 2017.
Debbie Ringen will continue as the part-time Minister of Health and Wellness, a job she took on in a transitional capacity in January, just before the pandemic began.
"I believe I have begun to build relationships with staff, clergy, parish nurses and lay members of the conference to engage in the integration of faith and health, living the ministry of Jesus to teach, preach and heal," she said of the work she has done this year.
The Bridge Conference Ministers have been working with team leaders and in some cases search committees for the last several months to re-structure the staff, a process that was delayed by the pandemic. Other staff announcements can be found here. The Conference will transition to the new staff structure Jan. 1.
