Executive Conference Minister the Rev. Darrell Goodwin visited the Seekonk Congregational Church UCC on Sunday, Dec. 19, and was presented with stoles once worn by the Rev. Daehler Hayes, a long-time and beloved leader in Rhode Island. (Seekonk is located in Massachusetts, but the church is in the Rhode Island Association.)

"I am so honored to walk in the legacy of so many wonderful Conference leaders leading up to this moment in history," Rev. Goodwin said.

Rev. Hayes served as the Rhode Island Conference Minister for 19 years, from1983 to 2002.  He died in 2019 at the age of 82. Read more about him here.
