For more than 50 years, Pilgrim Day Camp has operated on the Framingham, MA, campus of the Southern New England Conference. For the first time in it's history, the camp will not be held this summer due to COVID-19.  Following is the letter announcing the camp's closure from PDC Director Jon Kirby:

Dear Pilgrim Day Camp Families,

After many discussions with local authorities and careful review of CDC and American Camping guidelines I have come to the difficult decision that we cannot host Pilgrim Day Camp this summer. 
 
I held out for as long as I could before coming to this difficult decision.  However, to be fair to our staff and families I could not wait any longer. It breaks my heart that we can’t all be together to continue our summer traditions.  
 
We will be fully refunding your payments as soon as we can get them processed. If you would like to leave a deposit to secure a placement for summer 2021 please email Jessica at pdc@sneucc.org.  
 
In the coming weeks, Jessica and I will be considering how we might be a resource for your families during the coming months. We are working on ways to keep some elements of camp alive - perhaps the pool for lessons and a family swim opportunity for our camp family.  We will let you know once we figure out what we can safely offer. 
 
I hope you have a fun and safe summer, and wish you the very best. To make up for this year I will make sure that Pilgrim Day Camp 2021 is the best ever.
