Participants Invited for Annual Meeting Virtual Choir, Speakouts

The Southern New England Conference's second online Annual Meeting will be held on May 8, and people are being invited to act now in order to participate in two ways: by singing - virtually - in a Conference Mass Choir, and by recording and submitting Speakouts.

Virtual Mass Choir

This will be the first time a Conference Choir is brought together virtually, and Tom Cuffari, who will direct the choir, has composed a new piece specifically for the meeting's worship service. Anyone interested in joining is invited to fill out a registration form, at which point Cuffari - Minister of Music at the United Congregational Church in Bridgeport, CT, - will send the vocal part, as well as the accompaniment and director's videos. Singers will record their videos, which will be combined with those of the other singers from around the SNEUCC.

Speakouts - a 60-second opportunity for a delegate to address the Annual Meeting on a topic of their choice - have long been an Annual Meeting tradition.  For this online meeting, Speakouts will need to be pre-recorded and submitted in advance.

Speakout opportunities will be assigned randomly among interested registrants. To be included in the Speakout lottery, complete the Speakout Lottery Form by 4 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. All those who submit the form will be notified of the results of the lottery on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, and those who win slots will receive instructions and tips for submitting videos. All Speakouts will need to be submitted by the speakers no later than April 19th, 2021.

Registration has not yet opened for this meeting. Details will continue to be posted on the Annual Meeting page as they become available.
