Ostertag served for 13 years as Assistant Manager of Adelynrood Retreat and Conference Center, where her responsibilities included scheduling, reservations, marketing, data tracking, housekeeping and volunteer development. She has also worked in food service, and in volunteer development in other non-profit organizations.
"I am so excited to support a great organization doing work that I truly love," Ostertag said. "There is something wonderful in every day being different but also grounded in an intentional space. The best part for me is building relationships through helping guests to see their vision come to life. It is a such a privilege and brings me joy!"
Ostertag will supervise an on-site caretaker who will handle guest services at Irons Homestead (see more here), as well as kitchen and housekeeping staff at Edwards House. She will have a direct role in guest services in Framingham, with management and marketing responsibilities for both sites.
“Kate was the clear standout in a strong pool of over a dozen candidates”, says Dawn Hammond, Associate Conference Minister for Policy and Finance. “She has a heart for mission, a head for data, lots of experience mentoring staff and volunteers, and great eagerness to join us in our work toward our vision. I can’t wait to welcome her to our staff team.”
Diane Montgomery, the long-time Framingham site manager for the Massachusetts Conference, is retiring as of May 31. Jennifer Geary, the Irons Homestead Director, recently stepped down from that position.
