Liturgy Created to Celebrate New Conference

The following is a message from Rev. Don Remick, Bridge Conference Minister, sent to churches and clergy on Jan. 10:

Friends,

Some folks have asked about resources they can use within their Sunday liturgy to celebrate and embody the inauguration of our new Conference.  A team has been working on developing a variety of resources and we wanted to pass these along.

Our original hope was to have these to you in time for January 12, particularly for those who are using Lectionary readings that tell the story of Christ’s Baptism.  However, holiday delays prevented this from coming out earlier.  This liturgy takes that into account, and it can be adapted to any time within the life and liturgy of your church.

We hope you will enjoy these resources.  We hope they will bring you new life as disciples living the love and justice of Jesus.  And we hope you will let us know (in story and photo) how they were used in your worship settings.
And stay tuned….the flock is still coming.
