Five More Conference Staff to Stay On In New Structure

Share
As part of the continuing restructure of the Conference staff, the Bridge Conference Ministers have announced that five more current staff have been chosen to continue on in the new structure when it goes into effect Jan. 1.

The following staff will continue on:

Andrew Page will serve as the Database Manager/IT Specialist/Storyteller. This position oversees the availability of accurate data on churches, clergy and members, serves as the IT liaison with outside IT Contractors, and serves as the Conference's chief storyteller. In his cover letter, Drew writes: "Having watched and participated in the creation of the new conference since the concept was first announced to staff over 5 years ago, I have imagined a moment when I could find a role in the new organization."

Debby Dionne will serve as the Business Operations Manager. As such, she will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the financial and operational aspects within the organization. Dionne was a long-time business manager in the historic Massachusetts Conference, and began serving in Connecticut as well in 2018.

Yolanda Montano and Marie Girasuolo will serve as Financial Accounting Assistants.

John Van Epps will serve as the Archivist, a part-time position providing historical information and research information to members of the Conference. In his cover letter, John writes: "I am especially concerned with how the “little story” of the churches relates to the “big story” of the wider church, its mission, and the world. This also informs my work with providing historical background for the conference minister and area ministers. These backgrounds can be especially helpful in this time of transition, with new staff coming on board."

This is the second set of announcements of continuing staff - the first was on Aug. 26.

Bridge Conference Minister the Rev. Don Remick explains that there are three fundamental principles guiding the process of reconfiguring staff: the Conference's Vision for its future and an uncharted landscape for religion ahead; a desire for more diversity; and the value of the "exceptional skills and experience" of the current staff.

Some searches are being conducted internally, while others have been opened externally. External positions can be see in this section of the Conference classifieds.
