Kendrix/Remick/Siladi Fund Announced

Kendrix/Remick/Siladi Fund Announced

Share
The Board of Directors has voted to invite contributions in honor of the Bridge Conference Ministers - Marilyn Kendrix, Don Remick and Kent Siladi - to a fund that focuses on faith formation and stewardship.

The Board voted to re-name the Seeds of Faith Fund, which was originally created by the historic Massachusetts Conference, to the Kendrix/Remick/Siladi Fund for Generosity and Faith Development.

The purpose of the fund is to promote the faith, generosity and discipleship formation of children, youth and adults.  Money in this fund helps the Conference to provide resources and programming for local churches in their work of making disciples.

The three Bridge Conference Ministers have been shepherding the new Southern New England Conference into being since it was formed by the coming together of the Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island conferences on Jan. 1.  All three agreed to work on building the new Conference, including restructuring the staff, and to then step aside to make way for a new Executive Conference Minister. That search is under way.

The re-naming of the fund was announced at the end of the July 19 online celebration of Kent Siladi (recording here), who is leaving at the end of July to take up a post at the national setting of the United Church of Christ.

Donations to the fund can be made online at: sneucc.org/donate.
