Rev. Darrell Goodwin, Executive Conference Minister, celebrated Rev. Figliuzzi's new call.
"The Conference has been blessed to be a part of the ministry journey for David Figliuzzi. David first came to Conference stewardship team as the Interim Philanthropy Director while he was also active in the search and call process," Rev. Goodwin said. "We knew that ultimately his ministerial gifts would find a home in one of our local churches and that time has arrived."
"In his time, David has brought a renewed energy and zeal to Conference fundraising efforts, made strides in our giving matrix such as now being able to receive donations through Facebook, and has facilitated a consulting relationship with Harvest Development Group, who will guide our fundraising efforts now and into the future," he said. "I celebrate David's investment in conference life and offer blessings for his continued presence as the pastor at Rocky Hill Congregational Church."
Rev. Figliuzzi said he is glad to have found a call within the Conference.
"As I transition to parish ministry, I carry with me all of the skills and relationships I had the opportunity to develop while serving on the Conference ministry team," he said. "I am excited to continue ministry in the Southern New England Conference serving in the local church setting. As a local pastor, I will rely on the programs and support of the Conference, made possible by the generosity of our supporting churches and individuals."
