Annual Meeting June 15 - 16 in Springfield, MA.
Officers, Class of 2019
Moderator: The Rev. Jocelyn Gardner Spencer
The Rev. Jocelyn Gardner-Spencer has been the Pastor at First Congregational Church of Woodstock since 2013. Jocelyn also serves as an on-call chaplain and member of the Spiritual Care Advisory Committee at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT. Her wider church involvement has been as a CTUCC Racial Justice Facilitator, CTUCC Board Member, TA1 Planning Team member, Moderator of General Association, Silver Lake Dean, and member of the 2030 Clergy Network National Planning Team.
Treasurer: Calvin Price
Calvin Price is a member of the North Madison Congregational Church (New Haven East Association). Calvin is recently retired from 43 years in the financial Services industry and is currently serving as a Business Consultant to Non Profits on housing and community development. He has served on a number of Non-profit boards and in various settings of the United Church of Christ. He brings to the TA1 Board financial expertise.
Board of Directors, Class of 2021
Elliot Altomare is a Member in Discernment with the Farmington Valley Association. He is a member of South Congregational Church of Granby, and a member of First Congregational Church of Granby, where he is on the Personnel Committee. Elliot works as an Organizational Community & Cultural Coordinator at 350.org, and also as a Community Organizer, Facilitator, Trainer and Mediator. He is also the Coordinator of The Harbor, serving the community in Granby and East Granby, and a Board Member of Trans Lifeline. Elliot is a workshop presenter around gender/sexuality, race & racism, and difficult conversations to regional UCC churches, as well as a OWL facilitator and preacher with regional UU churches.
Rev. Edwin Perez Jr. is a Member in Discernment with limited Standing in the New Haven Association. Edwin is a member of the United Church on the Green in New Haven, CT and, where he serves as a deacon, facilitator of Adult Faith Formation, and leader of a new charismatic bilingual worship service/ministry. In addition, Edwin works as librarian assistant for children and youth and as an office assistant of an education technology department. His interests beyond the Church still involve activism, LGBTQ, Immigrants' and Latinx rights organizing, and the New Sanctuary CT. Edwin is also involved in the LGBTQ Youth Steering Initiative of New Haven. His involvement with the wider Church includes being a Board Member of AFIRM (Apostolic Fellowship International Revival Ministries), where he was ordained for social justice ministry in 2017. He attended Korsinos Bible College in 2010-2012 and Apostolic Seminary in 2017. He is a writer and contributor of
Proyecto Encuentros de Gracia y Bienvenida, an initiative of Justice and Local Church Ministries. Edwin has served as a panelist for and is involved with R.E.D.I.L. (Red Ecuménica para el desarrollo de Iglesias Latinas). He was recently involved with the CTUCC Youth Revival, is currently involved with the Eastern Regional Youth Event 2018, and is on the NYE 2020 Planning Team. The skills, gifts or passions Edwin hopes to bring to the TA1 Board includes: the experience of a young Latinx pastor; clergy/church training; social justice advocacy; the development and sustaining ministries of color or involving communities of color; being involved in the sanctuary movement; and being involved with youth and young adults.

Persephone L. Hall is a member of the Liberty Christian Center, Hartford where she serves on the Worship Ministry team. Persephone is the Hale Family Director, Office of Career and Professional Development at Connecticut College in New London, CT. Her involvement with the wider church includes being a former at-large delegate to CTUCC from 2015 – 2017, a member of the CTUCC Racial Justice Board from 2013 – 2015 and current Co-Chair, 2015 - present. Persephone brings to the TA1 Board skills in Group Process and Human Resources.
Sandra Dixon is a Professional Consultant in Strategy & Organizational Development and Implementation. Sandra is a member of North Madison Congregational Church, Madison, CT where she has served as a deacon for 10 years. She is also involved on the Worship Team, the ONA strategy committee, and with the Purpose Development Leadership (Getting Focused with Purpose). Sandra is involved with the Gestalt Pastoral Care as a Consultant Volunteer. She serves on the Committee on Church & Ministry for the New Haven East Consociation, and is a current member of the CTUCC Board of Directors. The skills, gifts or passions Sandra hopes to bring to the TA1 Board includes group processing, experience in conflict resolution, human resources, and strategy development.

he Rev. Bridget Fidler has been the Senior Minister at First Church of Christ, Congregational in Suffield since 2009. She has served in many capacities in the wider church and wider Suffield Community. She is currently the Chair of the Connecticut Conference Board of Directors and will also serve as an officer on the TA1 Board. She and her husband, the Rev. Jonathan Lee live in West Hartford.
