Debbie Gline Allen, a Commissioned Minister of Christian Formation with a wealth of experience in the UCC, will begin serving as the Conference's Consultant for Christian Education and Youth Ministry on July 10.

"Debbie has resourced churches throughout New England as well as nationally and is a valuable member of the CE Certification Task team for the MACUCC," said Associate Conference Minister Ellie Richardson. "Debbie brings a wealth of wisdom, creativity and experience to her new role. Please join us in welcoming Debbie and do not hesitate to contact her when you have questions regarding Christian Education, Faith Formation and Youth Ministry."

Gline Allen has been serving local churches and conferences in New Hampshire and Massachusetts for over 35 years. She received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now Union Presbyterian Seminary) and recently served as chairperson of the national Association of United Church Educators. She has written for three UCC-based curriculum resources and has led numerous Christian Education workshops throughout the country. Debbie lives in Derry, NH with her spouse, two sons and beloved cat. She is looking forward to helping the local churches of the Massachusetts Conference adapt Christian education and formation to the needs of 21st Century congregations.

Elsa Marshall, who had been serving as the Consultant for Christian Education and Youth Ministry, retired last year.
