Conference Launches Clergy Portal

Conference Launches Clergy Portal

The Southern New England Conference has launched a new tool - the Clergy Portal - that allows authorized ministers within the Conference to access their own individualized information through the Conference website.

The portal allows clergy to review the information the Conference has on file for them, including contact information, details on ministerial standing, certifications and trainings, and more.

The clergy portal also gives access to a directory of all clergy in the Conference.  For each authorized minister, this pictorial directory includes email address, mailing address, business phone, current call and/or church of membership, and Conference and Association committee positions. This directory is password protected and only accessible to other authorized ministers within the Conference. Clergy can opt-out of inclusion in the directory at any time.

"Our hope is that this portal will make it easier for the Conference staff to stay in touch with clergy, and to ensure we have accurate up-to-date information," said Tiffany Vail, Director of Media and Communications. "We are also excited that the Clergy Directory will enable clergy to more easily be in touch with one another."

The portal also gives clergy easy access to pulpit supply lists, as well as registration forms for upcoming Conference events.

The portal goes hand in hand with the Church Dashboard, which allows church staff to update contact information and lay leadership information for their churches. The Church Dashboard is accessible to whoever has access to the church's email address, such as the church administrator.  Clergy who are serving a local church can now also access the Church Dashboard through their portal login.

Both the Clergy Portal and the Church Dashboard are accessible by clicking "Dashboards" in the top bar of the Conference website, or by visiting: www.sneucc.org/dashboards.   To use the portal for the first time, clergy should click the "Clergy Portal Login" button and then the "Sign up and login help" link. If the email used to sign up matches the email address the Conference has for that clergy person in the Conference database, an email will automatically be sent with login credentials.

Video walk-throughs of both the Clergy Portal and the Church Dashboard are also available on that page.
