Rev. Dr. Patrick Duggan
The Keynote Speaker for the June 18th Annual Meeting, The Rev. Dr. Patrick Duggan, will be speaking on "entrepreneurial ministry," and how churches can reimagine their building usage in creative ways to connect with their communities.

Duggan is the Executive Director of the Church Building & Loan Fund of the United Church of Christ, and will speak to some of the creative innovations that the fund has assisted local churches in carrying out. One example: MOLO Village in Louisville, Kentucky - home to a community bank, restaurants and a medical facility - was constructed by a crumbling church in the depressed urban area with help from the Cornerstone Fund. The center has been a centerpiece in turning the neighborhood around.

Rev. Duggan will share the vision behind these types of projects, after which participants can join in breakout sessions to generate ideas.

"This Annual Meeting is really focused on supporting and equipping the local church," said Rev. Dr. Audrey Price, Executive Minister for Strategic Operations.

In addition to the breakout session with Rev. Dr. Duggan, there will be ministry engagement gatherings around ministry during and beyond the pandemic, approaches to church governance, faith formation for a new age, reflecting diversity in our congregations and more.

The meeting is being held Saturday, June 18, online from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The theme is "A Sure Foundation: Built Upon 400 Years of Service." The registration deadline is June 13. The meeting will also include worship, including preaching by Rev. Darrell Goodwin and Dawn Hammond, presentations on Conference ministry and a vote on the Board of Directors nominees.
