Colleagues: 

Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day aligned in the calendar yesterday.  That confluence of dates was shattered with the tragic violence against innocents in Parkland, Florida.  

Requests for “what can we do” have begun. We send our prayers and support to those who grieve.  We work to address and overcome the culture of violence that permeates our land.  We work with partners in our communities to identify ways in which people can get the help they need.  We advocate for sane gun legislation. We act from the prayers that we offer.
