New wiki launched to aid church communicators

The Massachusetts Conference's Commission on Communication has launched a "Church Communicators' Wiki" to act as a clearinghouse for a variety of resources related to church communication.

Some current articles on the wiki, which is easily accessible to anyone online, include:

Using the new MACUCC Wordpress Theme:  A series of tutorials on how to set up a new website using a Wordpress theme that was specifically designed for use by MACUCC churches (download the theme from the wiki);

Setting up a Facebook Presence for Your Church: For Facebook novices and regular users alike, this article provides a walkthrough on developing a church Facebook Page and maintaining it;

E-newsletters: Many church newsletters today are stuck in limbo - designed for print, but distributed electronically for the receipients to print out and read. This article talks about alternatives.

According to Tiffany Vail, Associate for Communication, the Commission chose a wiki as a place to house these resources because it allows users not only to read content but also to share their own expertise by adding to it. The wiki is built on the same application that powers Wikipedia.
