Duke Divinity School's Faith & Leadership newsletter this week features an article on the effect the Pastoral Excellence Program Communities of Practice have had on the Massachusetts Conference as a whole.
"Research has shown that clergy and congregations benefit from pastoral peer groups," the article states. "But in the Massachusetts Conference, anecdotal evidence also suggests that these groups have a positive “trickle-up” effect, changing the work lives of regional denominational officials as well."
