The Southern New England Conference has replaced the landline phone systems at the Framingham and Hartford offices with a new Voice Over Internet system which allows the geographically dispersed staff to have direct phone lines provided by the Conference.

The system allows the staff - most of whom have been working remotely since the start of the pandemic - to make and receive phone calls through their computers or cellphones, receive voicemail messages, send and receive faxes and even place video calls.

Some staff who had previously set up business phone numbers in various ways have retained those numbers in the new system, but most now have new phone numbers. There is now a new main number for the entire Conference staff: 866-367-2822. Calling that number will access a menu of choices that will lead callers through the different teams, so they can find the person who can best offer assistance.

The old main office numbers have been re-routed. Calls to the old Framingham number now to go Patti Babcock, Senior Administrative Assistant, and calls to the old Hartford number now go to Hillary Sage, Executive Assistant to the Executive Conference Minister.

The Silver Lake Camp & Retreat Center phone remains the same: 860-364-5526.
Irons Homestead and Edwards House can both now be reached at the same number: 508-244-4429.

The Conference also has a new texting service. Anyone wishing to receive occasional updates from the Conference via text can text the word GROW to 855-840-1952.
