At Super Saturday on March 21, 2015, The Rev. Ruben Duran, Program Director for New Congregations for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, gave an address entitled Church for the Life of the World .
In it, he told the the 450 people who were gathered: "This is the day for you to say: God, grab me gently and melt me and mold me and fill me and use me – I want to be part of your team to accomplish greater things for you, on behalf of the gospel, for the sake of the world, for the glory of God."
"It's not about us, it's about the spirit in us," he said. "Propelling us to do greater things for God, turning us into engineers and co-architects of missional communities that we can offer to God and to the world with guts and determination."
