Help Keep Boston Youth Warm this Winter

Help Keep Boston Youth Warm this Winter

Share
City Mission, along with Citizens Bank, believes that all children in Boston deserve to be warm and safe this winter.  Coat Boston has spent nine years ensuring that children, from toddlers to teens, have the warm winter coats they need. City Mission partners with Boston Public Schools serving low-income families to ensure that all young Bostonians have a warm, safe winter.

That’s where you come in. In order to meet the ever-increasing need for coats, we need your help! Yourself, friends and family, co-workers and congregations can outfit Boston’s youth by donating money, coats, hosting coat parties, and raising awareness of Coat Boston through Facebook and other social media posts.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Faith communities, other local organizations or individuals can organize a coat party or a fundraising drive to collect coats funds for City Mission. To make a donation, click here.

Use social media to invite your networks to join you in supporting Coat Boston, tagging City Mission (@CityMissionBos) or using #CoatBoston. You can also start a Facebook Fundraiser by selecting 'City Mission Boston' as the nonprofit you are raising money for.

WHY DO THE COATS NEED TO BE NEW COATS?
We believe that a new warm coat says, “Boston cares about you.” A new warm coat says, “you are worthy of something that is yours.” A new warm coat says, “you are important to your community.”
