Helping shelter families set up homes

Helping shelter families set up homes

Promise Church, a new church start of the MACUCC which gathers in homes in the Weymouth/Quincy area, is collecting stamps from Shaws' supermarkets good for free dinnerware which will be given to families leaving shelters for their own apartments. The South Shore Friends of the Homeless is coordinating the distribution of the dinnerware to families in need. The Friends of the Homeless is dedicated to helping homeless families by providing food, clothing, furniture, shelter and advocacy.

Promise Church asks anyone who shops at Shaws (and isn't collecting for themselves) to help by sending stamps to:

Judith Patt, 204 M Tall Oaks Dr., South Weymouth, MA  02190

There is no need to paste the stamps into books, just enclose in an envelope and mail. If you would like more information on this project, please contact Judith Patt at 781-337-5592 or Promise Church thanks you for your help!
