October is "Anti-Hunger Month" in Southeast Area

A number of events in October have made this an important moment for our ministry of hunger and poverty education and action. See below for more opportunities than you can ever act on, but which are all are worth taking a look at. Read the list, download the calendar, and pray about how and where you and your church can participate. First, click here to download a calendar with an overview of ALL of the programs and projects and special days on this page. Then check the chart and lists below with the details. ~ Stan Duncan

"A Place At the Table"

There will be several showing of this award-winning movie, which graphically illustrates the increasing difficulty of ordinary Americans to feed their families. See below for six showings in South Shore churches, and bring your church family.  Learn more about this movie here.

Download our printable flyer to publicize the event in your church. Each event will not only show the movie, but will have time afterward  for conversation about our local hunger and poverty needs and what each of us can do. There will be resources about hands-on local work and information about Bread for the World's "Place at the Table" letter-writing campaign.
