Our second in a series of three webinars on Faith Formation and Discipleship trends continues with Rev. Lee Yates.  From Analogue to Digital webinar, Thursday November 5, 2020 at 10 AM.

Lee has spent his career looking for "what is next" while looking to the stories of God's people to guide the way.  Is there a place in the 21st century media landscape for formation in the way of Jesus? If so, how is faith practiced there? What practices, strategies, and engagements hold potential for deepening faith?  Have you or has your congregation been intentional as this pandemic time evolves to incorporate new media strategies?  Is technology inherently good or bad? What makes technology accessible for many? What platform would Jesus use?

Join colleagues and leaders from around the Conference as we explore the power, use, and development of the digital media landscape for shaping discipleship.  Lee will offer guidance from his experience in digital ministries for envisioning the near future of faith formation programs as hybrid, and in some cases, purely digital.  He will help us consider the digital realm for intergenerational and age specific formation. What about becoming "Zoomed-out"?  What digital boundaries must we learn or re-learn?  How might we be adaptive as we incorporate the digital landscape?

The cost is $10.00 per person or $25.00 for the series of three webinars!
Each is 75 mins. long.
Our next in the series will explore From Gathering to Connecting on 11/19/2020 at 10 AM featuring 4 local panelists you'll want to hear!

Our second presenter in this series is Rev. Lee Yates.  He is a curriculum writer and editor that seeks to connect the head and heart in ways that transform individuals and communities. He is a preacher that tries to celebrate the beauty of Christian community, name the messes we have made, and proclaim the work still ahead. Lee is a parent who has taken on titles such as “coach,” “site-based-council rep,” and “field-trip helper.” His ministry has evolved from full-time congregational work to a part-time pastorate at Covina Community Church, serving as editor for InsideOut Camp Curriculum, and Communications Consultant for the Southern California Nevada Conference. In his free time, Lee loves playing soccer or basketball, visiting Disneyland (his other office), and watching University of Kentucky basketball.
