Engaging Worship Series

with the Rev. Brent Damrow
November 12,  2020, January 14, 2021 and February 11, 2021

Authentic, dynamic, grounded and locally framed worship is central to the health and vitality of local congregations and the larger church.  Such worship can be a critical source of joy, faith, connection, growth, and satisfaction both for the congregation and for the pastor.

These workshops will use specific lenses to re-imagine worship authentic to the congregation and possible in these times.  Pastors will bring a challenge or goal and will leave well on their way to designing a service for implementation.  Optional follow-up sessions will allow for feedback, sharing, and further imagining.
Thursday, November 12 – Space  (10 am - 12 pm)
How does your worship space suggest themes or new possibilities for worship?
Thursday, January 14 – Holy Days  (10 am - 12 pm)
How might a local need, long-held passion or current topic lead to a special service?
Thursday, February 11 – Voices  (10 am - 12 pm)
What author, theologian, poet, or other figure might be a powerful lens/conversation partner for one or more services?

Registration Deadlines:  November 8, 2020; January 10, 2021; February 7, 2021
