Becoming and Belonging-What Matters?

The journey of discovery toward the moment of Confirmation is a varied one.  Youth learn more deeply who they are and whose they are in the context of belonging: to God, to a congregation that supports their journey, to the larger faith community that is the United Church of Christ.  The CT Conference offers a series of retreats each year to support one aspect of this journey more fully, belonging to the larger faith community.  In the prayer of Jesus- That They May All Be One (A Six Word Story) and through the six vital themes of What Matters? that express the values of the United Church of Christ; youth will be offered a number of opportunities to celebrate who they are as individuals, a group, and a faith community.  They will discover more about what matters for 20th century discipleship!

Join us so that  they might discover, learn, and play together in the wider faith community!  This series of retreats, held at the beautiful Sliver Lake Conference Center (God's Backyard) offers youth and their leaders an opportunity to form deeper bonds and make connections!  All retreats are led by gifted local church leaders who are screened and trained as facilitators to offer the highest quality experience of new community.
