Music that Makes Community 

Clergy, musicians, and liturgists will gather on Zoom for MMC's annual Advent Worship Planning Webinar with Paul Vasile and friends, focused on Advent and Christmas (Year B). This online gathering invites participants to:

• CENTER in song and prayer;
• EXPERIENCE sacred text with an ear for how it speaks in our contexts;
• SING diverse seasonal music from varied traditions and cultures, focusing mostly on paperless music while including a range of congregational song repertoires;
• COLLABORATE with others to imagine context-specific liturgy for our communities;

You'll leave with worship ideas, preaching/planning prompts, and suggested congregational songs and choral music from varied musical traditions.

Schedule:
To make our time online engaging and sustainable, there will be ample breaks as well as breakout rooms for small group conversation. You will be welcome to participate with your camera on or off. A recording of the webinar will be included in follow up materials. 

Cost:
Registration fees are on a sliding scale, from $80 to $50 per person, which includes access to a recording, song list, and resource materials following the workshop. We ask you to pay what is generous and affordable for you, with gratitude for the time and skill of our presenters. Additional scholarship support is also available, if needed.
