Member in Discernment Retreat for Saturday, May 13th from 9-3pm at the Edwards House Retreat Center, in Framingham, MA. 
 
This half-day retreat will be an opportunity to connect with SNEUCC staff, authorized ministers, a representative of the UCC Pension Board, and other SNEUCC MIDs. The program was designed based on the feedback from MiDs in the survey sent out late last year.  Some of the highlights include:

• Q&A Time/Panel session with authorized ministers from a variety of settings, including bi-vocational and part-time ministry, new church starts, campus ministry, hospice chaplaincy, and more.
• An introduction to the ministry of the Pension Boards, including programs designed for MIDs, describe what you’ll need to know when negotiating a call agreement, and provide space to have conversation about personal finances for pastors.
• An overview of Search and Call in the SNEUCC, including discussion of clergy compensation guidelines, suggestions in writing your ministerial profile, and interview tips and tricks.
• One-on-one, optional, coaching sessions focused on your goals.
• Shared meals and worship.

This event is completely free to MiDs, thanks to proportional giving to the Southern New England Conference and the support of the Pension Board.
