Please join us for our annual, Convention of Massachusetts Convention of Congregational Ministers at the Village Church Whitinsville in Northbridge, MA. Our Convention preacher will be Rev. Kenneth Clarke, Pastor of the Old First Church in Bennington, Vermont and teacher at Franklin Pierce Law School.
Following the service, we will discuss the issue "What is the nexus between church, culture and legislation?" and then vote on the board members and moderator.
A suggested donation $5 towards the reception will be greatly appreciated.
Massachusetts Convention of Congregational Ministers is the oldest professional body gathering in existence in the United States. It has met (almost) continually since 1691 and gathers Trinitarian and Unitarian ministers of Commonwealth of Massachusetts serving churches with congregational polity. In recent years it has expanded and welcomed Presbyterian, Christian Reformed and Lutheran pastors from New England interested in Christian theology. Annual Conventions are held in UCC or UUA churches with clergy from these denominations alternating as preachers.
