The book study will culminate on Wednesday, March 29th, from 12noon – 1:30 pm ET with a zoom conversation hosted by Rev. Dr. Chris Davies with the authors Rev. Cody J. Sanders, Ph.D and Rev. Angela Yarber, Ph.D.

“I wrote this book with my colleague Angela because I love the church.  I was formed by the beautiful, dangerous gift of elegant profundity alive within the Christian theological tradition—its words, it’s rituals, and it’s music.  I love the church, and I want to help communities of faith take greater responsibility for the continued cultivation of the beautiful, dangerous, elegant, profound gift entrusted to us.”  -Cody J. Sanders

“The church, in all its many forms, should be a place of welcome, affirmation, and inclusion, a place of grace where every person is respected, honors, and celebrated as a beloved Child of God.  I believe that such a church can exist.  It can exist if we are willing to honestly examine our privileges and how our words and actions have the potential to assault the souls of minority persons.  Let’s create such a church.” - Angela Yarber
