Celtic Worship Service
Our next Celtic Worship Service is Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 4:30 PM. It will be held in-person only, indoors at Hartford International University, 77 Sherman Street, Hartford, CT.
This month we will celebrate "Sacred Feminine: St. Brigid of Kildaire" with a reflection, prayers, poetry and music. Plus, community sharing afterwards!
Why Celtic?
Because Celtic theology makes sense now:
1. All matter is created by God. If we say we love God, then we also must love all of God’s creation: reverencing and working to save our species, human beings. God is the creator of all that is: the earth; the sky; the sea; all animals; subatomic quarks and the cosmos.
2. Celtic theology has always included the Divine Feminine, to establish truth and balance, “You cannot have a divine child without a divine mother.” Carl Jung
3. Divine justice. The earth, God’s creation, and its resources are for everyone.
As our first Saint, Pelagius said when he confronted Augustine‘s Theology of Original Sin. In the church, “Don’t tell them who God is, they already know; just build community and empower their gifts.” That is our mission statement: Who we are; what we try to do.
Please join us and teach us about the God you know.
Deep Peace,The Reverend Dr. Molly Mazey O’Neill Louden, Facilitator, Connecticut Celtic Worship
