Leaders – Scott McKenzie and Jennifer Williams

In this crazy, ever-changing post-pandemic era, what do we do about the offering plate? In 2020, 78% of all giving occurred during worship and 92% of all churches were passing plates, but that is no longer the case. So what’s next? What are the best practices for encouraging generosity in this post pandemic world? In 45 minutes we will share those best practices that you can immediately implement as well as those practices you might wish to immediately stop.

As a Partner with Horizons Stewardship, Scott McKenzie brings a unique combination of experience, energy, wisdom, and passion to the ministry of stewardship and generosity. With over 25 years of experience in this life-changing ministry, Scott brings a unique combination of gifts, experience, and training. Scott is an ordained pastor with a Ph.D. in spiritual formation, 25 years of fundraising experience, the expertise of a trained ICF coach, and Certification as a CFRE. Scott is author of 4 books on generosity and stewardship. He loves trail running with his dog Frankie.

After nearly 25 years of ministry, Jennifer Williams has served the small, medium, large and multi-site congregations. While serving as an executive pastor, Jennifer learned her passion for preaching about money. She has managed four uniquely different non-profit businesses (Coffee Shop, Early
Learning Center, Nursery School and Multi-Site Church) with a combined budget of nearly $2 million dollars. Jennifer is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation and has over 1000 hours of coaching staff and church members. Jennifer is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and met her husband Warren at Duke Divinity School. They are the proud parents of Theadora, an elementary student in Hershey, PA.
