Leader – Dr. Elizabeth Geiling, PhD, LMHC, LPC

During this relentless pandemic, it is often our children who have suffered the most. With all the changes during the last two years, including the time students were forced to learn from home, developmental setbacks and mental health concerns have been reported by teachers. What can parents and teachers do to help? We will look at how COVID affects our children, especially young and middle school children.

Elizabeth Geiling, PhD, LMHC, LPC, is an LCC Children and Youth Counselor, received a PhD in Mental Health Counseling  from Pace University, NY and a Master’s degree and Professional  Diploma in Counseling from Fordham University, NY. Betty has worked as a School Psychologist and School Counselor (N-8) and  has expertise in school related problems and children with special  needs. Currently, she is the Director of Counseling at College of  Mount Saint Vincent and serves as an adjunct instructor at Fordham University. Betty is also Associate Professor Emerita of  Psychology at Concordia College, NY. Her counseling practice includes early  childhood, adolescents, early, middle and late adulthood, and couples.
