Rev. Dr. Ian McFarland is Robert W. Woodruff Professor of Theology at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary (1989), Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and has received his PhD from the Yale University (1995).

Massachusetts Convention of Congregational Ministers is the oldest professional body gathering in existence in the United States. It has met (almost) continually since 1691 and gathers Trinitarian and Unitarian ministers of Commonwealth of Massachusetts serving churches with congregational polity. In the recent years it has expanded and welcomed Presbyterian, Christian Reformed and Lutheran pastors from New England interested in Christian theology. Annual Conventions are held in UCC or UUA churches with clergy from these denominations alternating as preachers.
