When
This event recurs Weekly on Thursday from Thursday, July 23, 2020 to Thursday, August 13, 2020
The principles underlying effective stewardship approaches are well understood but not always well known. These webinars will help church leaders build more effective stewardship ministries.
This program will have the most impact when both clergy and lay leaders attend together and when lay leaders include both stewardship folk and trustee/finance/treasurer folk. A unified effort will yield the best results. Finding ways for people to gather to discuss each session highly recommended! Have a socially distanced “watch party.” Gather by Zoom immediately following each session. Re-watch sessions when you have the opportunity to be together again.
Four sessions, each starting at 7 PM
July 23: Faith foundations: Moving from transactional giving to transformational giving.
July 30: Inspiring generosity: Moving from “Pay the bills” to “Live the vision.”
Aug. 6: Best practices from the non-profit world. Understanding why people give and making your case.
Aug. 13: Building a planned giving ministry in four “easy” steps
Lead presenter: Charlie Kuchenbrod, Executive Associate Conference Minister
Reaction Panel:
Lee Gagen, Fundraising and Development Specialist
David Cleaver-Bartholomew, Transitional Associate Conference Minister for Stewardship and Financial Development
Mary Nelson, Regional Minister, South Central Region
Each session will include a presentation, reactions from the panelists, and questions and answers. Sessions will be recorded and recordings and session materials will be available online.
